Suge Knight: Jailhouse Confessions:  The Most Feared Man in Hip-Hop Comes Clean

Conspiracy theories have swirled around Marion “Suge” Knight – infamous for being known as a thug and feared enforcer – for over two decades. Mysterious deaths and stories of coercion seem to follow the American rap mogul and co-founder of Death Row Records wherever he goes. His history is filled with both chart-topping hit records, number-one singles, and glamorous partying, as well as violence, including assault charges, shootings, orchestrated hits, and gun charges.

Knight was at the center of a musical revolution. It has been said that all roads in rap music led to Knight. He was at all the hottest parties, and in the studios with the biggest names in music, like Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Tupac Shakur, MC Hammer, Michel’le, and others. Ultimately, this lifestyle led to the now-famous conspiracy that Knight played a role in the murder of Tupac Shakur – his best friend and star of Death Row Records. Knight was the only one in the car the night Shakur was shot and killed and sustained bullet wounds to the head as well. Six months later, rival rap artist Notorious B.I.G. was murdered in a similar fashion, only serving to fuel this theory.

In the years following Shakur’s and the B.I.G.’s murders, Knight found himself either incarcerated or the victim of assassination attempts. In 2014, Knight was shot six times at Chris Brown’s VMA party on Sunset Boulevard. Then, in 2015, following an altercation between Knight and another man on the set of Straight Outta Compton, Knight ran over and killed a bystander. Now serving 28 years in jail for manslaughter, Knight alleges that he was ambushed both times, and that a famous former friend put a $2 million dollar bounty on his head.

At 54-years-old and currently serving a 28-year prison sentence, Knight is ready to set the record straight with Project 848.  Project 848, a reference to the Penal Code for a criminal enterprise for which an individual can receive incarceration for 20 years to life.  848 will reference the lifestyle, money, power, success, and crimes of the last two decades, while showcasing sets of products in various lifestyle niches designed to enrich the happiness and health of individuals and communities.  Related to this, Project 848 will have a strong, ever present and growing, charitable component.  Project 848 will begin its community support/charitable efforts and donations with selected registered non-profits serving mothers in the inner-city Los Angeles areas where Suge grew up.

Recently, we asked Suge to make a quick comment regarding 848.  As prolific a promoter as Suge was, you can see he is humble and not really in to self-promotion.  We feel that this goes to the heart of the 848 brand.
